Code of Practice: Inclusion, Equality, Dignity at Work & Anti-Harassment Policy

Rebound Talent Agency is committed to creating an environment where every client, employee, freelancer, associate and industry partner is treated with dignity, professionalism and respect.

We believe that the creative industries are strongest when they are inclusive, welcoming and representative of the diverse communities they serve. We are committed to promoting equality of opportunity and ensuring that everyone connected with the agency can work free from discrimination, bullying, harassment and victimisation.

This Code of Practice applies to:

  • Agency staff

  • Represented clients

  • Freelancers and contractors

  • Interns and work experience placements

  • Anyone acting on behalf of Rebound Talent Agency

  • Industry professionals interacting with the agency

Our Values

We expect everyone connected with Rebound Talent Agency to:

Equity Safe Spaces Statement

In support of Equity's Creating Safe Spaces campaign, Rebound Talent Agency adopts the following statement:

Bullying & Harassment

Rebound Talent Agency has zero tolerance for bullying, harassment, discrimination or victimisation.

​

Harassment is any unwanted conduct that violates a person's dignity or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment.

​

Examples include, but are not limited to:

​

  • Racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic or ableist remarks.

  • Sexual comments or unwanted sexual attention.

  • Unwanted physical contact.

  • Offensive jokes or "banter."

  • Intimidation or threats.

  • Online harassment.

  • Deliberately excluding someone.

  • Persistent belittling or humiliation.

  • Abuse of authority or power.

  • Retaliation after someone raises a concern.

  • ​

Behaviour does not have to be intentional to have an unacceptable impact.

Sexual Harassment

Sexual harassment includes any unwanted conduct of a sexual nature, including:

  • Sexual comments or jokes.

  • Unwanted touching.

  • Requests for sexual favours.

  • Persistent unwanted advances.

  • Sharing explicit material.

  • Inappropriate messages or social media contact.

  • Comments about appearance or body.

  • Creating pressure to engage socially or romantically.

 

Consent and professional boundaries should always be respected.

Inclusion in Practice

We expect everyone working with Rebound Talent Agency to:

  • Respect names, pronouns and identities.

  • Use inclusive language.

  • Consider accessibility requirements.

  • Respect physical and emotional boundaries.

  • Seek consent before physical contact where appropriate.

  • Support a culture where concerns can be raised safely.

  • Recognise that different people may experience situations differently.

Working with Industry Partners

Although Rebound Talent Agency cannot control the behaviour of third parties, we expect production companies, casting professionals, photographers, coaches and other collaborators to maintain professional standards consistent with this Code.

Where concerns arise regarding a workplace, audition, rehearsal or production environment, we encourage clients to contact the agency promptly so appropriate support can be provided.

Raising Concerns

Anyone connected with Rebound Talent Agency is encouraged to report concerns about inappropriate behaviour.

 

Reports will be:

​

  • Taken seriously.

  • Treated sensitively and, wherever possible, confidentially.

  • Investigated fairly.

  • Handled without prejudice.

  • Managed promptly.

 

No individual will suffer retaliation for raising a genuine concern in good faith.

Responding to Concerns

Where appropriate, the agency may:

​

  • Hold confidential discussions with those involved.

  • Seek additional information.

  • Recommend mediation where suitable.

  • Refer matters to relevant employers or production companies.

  • Withdraw representation or terminate professional relationships where serious misconduct is established.

  • Report unlawful behaviour to the appropriate authorities where necessary.

Confidentiality

Information relating to complaints will be shared only with those who need to know in order to address the issue appropriately.

Absolute confidentiality cannot always be guaranteed where safeguarding or legal obligations apply.

Responsibilities: Agency Staff

Staff are expected to:

​

  • Lead by example.

  • Promote inclusive practice.

  • Respond promptly to concerns.

  • Maintain confidentiality.

  • Treat everyone fairly and respectfully.

Responsibilities: Represented Clients

Clients are expected to:

​

  • Behave professionally.

  • Treat others with respect.

  • Follow professional conduct standards at auditions, rehearsals, productions and industry events.

  • Raise concerns responsibly.

  • Respect the dignity and boundaries of others.

Social Media & Online Conduct

Professional standards extend to online interactions.

We expect everyone associated with Rebound Talent Agency to avoid:

​

  • Harassment.

  • Hate speech

  • Personal attacks.

  • Discriminatory comments.

  • Bullying.

  • Sharing confidential information without permission.

 

Constructive disagreement is welcome; abusive behaviour is not.

Accessibility

We are committed to making our services as accessible as reasonably possible.

Where requested, we will work with clients and industry partners to identify reasonable adjustments that enable equitable participation.

Review

This Code of Practice will be reviewed regularly to ensure it reflects current legislation, industry standards and best practice.
